Private Pilots License
Prerequisites
•  Candidates must be 14 years of age to obtain a Student Pilot Permit, 17 to achieve the license.
   Applicants shall possess prior to solo and ideally prior to course commencement, a category 3
     or 1 medical certificate.
•  All candidates must successfully complete and pass a written examination and flight test.
•  Candidates shall complete a minimum of 45 hours total flight time, consisting of a minimum of
    17 hours dual and a minimum of 12 hours solo.
•  Candidates must complete a minimum of 40 hours ground school instruction.
•  Candidates must have a minimum of 35 hours flight time prior to conducting the flight test.
  Candidates must complete the 40 hours of ground school and have a minimum of 10 hours flight
    time before attempting the written examination.
